Pegasus: the Winged Horse Constellation

This constellation owes its name to Pegasus, the winged horse of Greek mythology. It is the seventh largest constellation in the sky. According to the Greco-Roman poets, he rose to the sky after his birth and entered the service of Zeus, carrying lightning and thunder to Mount Olympus. A symbol of wisdom, poets sought inspiration from the springs that flowed where his hooves struck.

A Definition, an Encounter

A meteorite is a solid fragment of extraterrestrial origin that has passed through Earth's atmosphere and reached the ground. Behind this scientific definition lies the encounter between our planet and a material from elsewhere. This jewel bears witness to it today.
