Colored stones hold a place apart in the world of jewelry. They speak less of standards than of sensation, less of rules than of the eye. Each stone expresses a hue, a depth and a presence entirely its own.

At diams.com, they are chosen for their real character, their visual balance and the sincerity of their expression, far from artificial or excessive effects.

An approach guided by the stone itself

Unlike a diamond, the value of a colored stone cannot be reduced to a single scale. Its beauty arises from the harmony between hue, saturation, brightness and material. Each gem is observed for what it truly is: a living stone, shaped by nature, whose personality cannot be reduced to a single technical criterion.

A demanding, measured selection

We choose each colored stone for the accuracy and stability of its hue, the balance between intensity and light, the intrinsic quality of the material, and its visual coherence once set. Each gem is selected individually, with the idea that it must keep its presence over time, beyond any immediate effect.

Gemstones with a distinct character

Our selection is built around gems recognized for their singularity and their natural expression.

Tanzanite

An iconic stone with blue and violet reflections, tanzanite reveals a unique depth, heightened by its color variations depending on the orientation of the stone.

Tsavorite Garnet

A rare green variety, tsavorite is prized for its visual freshness, its liveliness and its natural brightness, often compared to the finest emeralds.

Mandarin Garnet

Valued for its yellow-orange to intense orange hues, mandarin garnet charms with its luminous warmth and solar glow. An expressive, rare stone that immediately catches the eye.

Malaya Garnet

With subtle tones ranging from pinkish yellow to peach and honey shades, malaya garnet stands out for its chromatic complexity and its delicate variations depending on the light.

Umbalite Garnet (Rhodolite)

Recognizable by its deep tones shifting between red and violet, umbalite, also called rhodolite, offers a controlled intensity and an elegant depth.

Origin, treatment and certificate

Our garnets and tanzanites come from Tanzania, notably the Umba Valley for umbalite. We favor direct sourcing: the stones are bought rough on site, then cut with few intermediaries, which lets us follow the material closely.

Our garnets undergo no treatment. Tanzanite, however, is heated: this is a stable, standard treatment that reveals its blue-violet color and does not create a price difference. We state it for the sake of transparency.

Each stone is delivered with a certificate established by a GIA Graduate Gemologist, attesting to its authenticity and its classification.

Creations designed around the stone

At diams.com, the colored stone remains the starting point. Some gems are offered set, in 750 gold or 925 silver, in jewelry made in Switzerland. The settings are designed to accompany the stone without constraining it, respecting its proportions, its light and its personality. Each piece is conceived as a discreet setting, at the service of the gem.

A coherent selection, made to last

We favor a deliberately measured approach: few stones, but chosen with care. Our aim is to offer gems capable of standing the test of time, both through their quality and through their aesthetic expression.
